One word for both of these films: EPIC. I am still surprised how I missed these movies despite watching all memes on different social networking site. The movies were released in 2006 and 2014 with IMDB ranking of 7.7 and 6.2, respectively as of date. I kind of think they deserved more appreciation.

Here is the official trailer of part 1:

Considering the genre, I personally thought the story and content were delivered at a slow pace (visually). It was not the case in the second part which moved pretty face and there was too much information passing on. On the other hand, I was mesmerized with the painting-like cinematography. Each and every scene of both these movies look like a living painting.

Dare I say, these two movies have best color grading ever. Despite how brutal and violent the scenes were, there was still calamity in visuals. I am more than just impressed now! I remember watching Gerard Butler in PS I Love You, and watching him again in 300 is a total surprise package. It was a 180-degree shift and very well done. There was not a moment in the movie where I thought it turned boring or losing the momentum. I would both of these movies at least 9/10.

Hats Off to the entire team
